- Port: 993
- SSL: Yes
- Authentication: Password
- Username: Your full email address

Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.mail.att.net
Port: 993 (SSL) or 143 (TLS)
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.att.net
Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
Creating a New Mailbox Profile
Rebuilding a profile sometimes resolves the issue. However, you may lose your email.
To create a new mailbox profile:
- Launch Mac Mail
- Select “Window” and click on “Connection Doctor”.
- The Connection Doctor will open and check your connection to the server and report if there is an issue with your network connection.
- Select Accounts from the top menu bar.
- Choose “Add Other Mail Account”… from the Accounts window.
- Enter your full email address, password, and a name for your account in the Next window.
Do not select any other options in this window; just click Continue. This will allow the account to be created as IMAP instead of POP3 or Exchange.
