  2. Improper settings: The misconfigured Comcast IMAP or POP settings can create an issue with the functioning of Xfinity email hence disturb the outgoing or incoming emails.
  3. The limit is exceeded: If your daily limit of sending or receiving emails has been exceeded, you may need to wait for the next day to begin.
  4. Incorrect address of recipient: If you are typing the incorrect receiver’s address, your Comcast email will shoot back to you with an error- message.
  5. Problem with the receiver: If the person whom you are trying to send the email has blocked you, or has some issue with the email account, can’t receive the message you have sent.
  6. An  issue with the browser: If there is something wrong with the browser, you are likely to have to send and receiving issues with your Comcast email
  7. Device issues: Sometimes the problem with the hardware of your device can originate the sending and receiving issues with Comcast
  8. Attachment issues: If there is an attachment issue with your email, such as the attachment is larger than the prescribed limit, it will become difficult to send the email.
  9. Add-ons or plug-ins: If your browser is loaded with different kind of plug-ins and add-ons, you are likely to face issues with the sending and receiving of Comcast email
  10. The issue with the mail app: The mail app issues usually face a problem when there is something wrong with the mail app.

Troubleshoot the Sending and Receiving Issues with Comcast:

  1. Check the Internet Connection:
  2. We have discussed how crucial the internet connection is and hence if it is sporadic, you need to fix it without any waiting. So, if you are using a Wi-Fi connection, restarting the router and modem can help. On the other hand for those who are using the cellular connection, need to restart their device or check the network settings on their device. Also, check if your device has the Airplane mode on, and if it is, you know what to do- shut it down if you can’t get Comcast email.

  3. Check Your Mail In The Spam Folder:
  4. Many of the time, emails don’t land where they should; the incoming emails should directly come to the Inbox folder, but sometimes they get redirected to the Spam folder, due to known or unknown reasons. Apart from checking the Spam folder, go through the Promotion and social tabs once, you may find your email there.

  5. Check the Blocked Contacts:
  6. Every so often, we block the contacts by mistake and when the next time we try to send emails to the blocked contacts, the delivery fails. So, if you are not able to send emails from your Comcast account to a particular user, you are advised to check the contact once in the blocked list. If it is there, unblock the contact and try sending the mail again. Likewise, contact the recipient if they have mistakenly blocked you.

If you have blocked the receiver, unblocking can be done by navigating the setting section of the email.

  7. Clear Cache And Cookies:
  8. The caches and cookies are usually the main cause behind email sending and receiving issues with the Comcast email account. So, sometimes clearing the cache and cookies can solve your problem and restore the smooth performance of your Xfinity email account.

  9. Check Your Daily Limit:
  10. Not only Comcast but every email service has its daily limit if Comcast is not sending or receiving email. And, if you overdo it, your messages can’t be sent or received. So, make sure not to exhaust the daily limit or if it happens you need to wait for it to renew; usually, the limit is renewed the next day.

There is a tip: Don’t go crazy with emails, because sending a lot of emails a day can make you look like spam to the company, and this can lead you to severe problems. Avoid sending bulk emails from a single account, if your work routine demands you to do so, keep more than one account or keep a gap between your emails.

  11. Check The Attachment File Limit:
  12. Heavy attachments often affect the email flow. So, make sure that the attachment you are adjoining with your email should not exceed the prescribed limit. Also, do not try to send many attachments at once. Also, compressing the huge attachments of dividing it into different files can help you overcome the issue.

  13. Check The Address Of Recipient:
  14. If the address you are adding to the “To” field is incorrect, the email would not be sent to the right person. So, make sure you thoroughly check the email address, domain name, and other factors such as spelling and characters, before sending an email from your account if Comcast emails are not being delivered.

  15. Update Your Browser:
  16. Outdated or incompatible browsers can also halt the sending and receiving process in Xfinity emails. Hence, make sure you are using the latest and compatible version of the browser. Go to settings and look for updates and if you find any go for it immediately.

  17. Fix It On Your Phone:
  18. Reconfiguration of the Comcast account would be the best way to resolve the issue if you are getting it on your Smartphone. Try to save all your data and save it in a safer place offline or online because it may get deleted during the process of reconfiguration. If the issue stands still, try to reinstall the Comcast mail application on smartphones. Additionally, try to keep all the mobile applications up to date, outdated applications not just create issues for themselves but also hamper or disturb the functioning of other applications.

  19. Remove Browser add-ons and Plug-ins:
  20. If your browser is full of needless and insignificant extensions or plug-ins, you will most likely get the sending and receiving an error in your email service. Most of the time these extensions and plug-ins hamper the process without letting you know. Hence, remove them from the browser. Also, in case you have any third-party application installed, delete or remove it from your device. If you don’t want to remove it, disable it until the sending and receiving issue gets resolved.
